Finally, some progress!

Woohoo!

After numerous set-backs and bad weather, the bricking has begun. The bricks were delivered around two weeks ago, but since then our site supervisor left, the area manager took over, and then another site supervisor came onboard. While we were waiting, some minor plumbing for the gas and water pipes was completed.

The bricklayers were actually out on saturday AND sunday which came at quite a shock. They managed to get all this done over the weekend, so they are moving at a good pace. Apparently if the weather behaves itself, they should be done by the end of the week.

While we were there, Anna decided to touch up on her brick-laying skills. Perfect!

  1. Very interesting reading your blogs, particularly the first few posts. I also got a 390 sqm land and managed to fit in one of AV Jennings' design! The design was butchered a bit still the way I like!

    Keep on the good work!

  2. Hi Hao,

We liked the lady from the AVJennings ponds displays, and we loved the Sea Breeze. But we decided that the alfesco area's on the size didnt really suite our block, we wanted something that that opened out at the back. We just couldnt find an AVJennings home that ticked all the boxes, but they are really good designs!

    Good luck with your build!

  3. Managed to get a guided tour of our house on Wednesday, your brickwork was so quick. It looks great. Hopefully our brick work will be cleaned up by the end of next week.
